NORTHERN COWBOYS ASSOCIATION INC

Competitive Rodeo's, Campdraft's & Junior Rodeo's
events in the Northern Territory & Western Australia.

ATTENTION MEMBERS:

Due to the COVID-19 Virus

NCA Members and Supporters:
In light of the COVID-19 we would like to inform you that we will be unable to run our Junior Rodeos in 2020. A lot of planning and cost go into these events and in these hard times we have had to think about our community and sponsors, who have all had to prioritise their work commitments.
We have spoken to the authorities about our Association and have been told we are not the only Association impacted by this pandemic and to encourage members to get behind any future events that we may be able to run.
Some of our Affiliated Rodeos across NT and WA have cancelled most of their events for 2020 and we hope that where possible our community can support any that do go ahead. Keep an eye out on the NCA Facebook page for details. We have started planning for August and September fundraising events to support NCA with some much needed funds to put on a bigger and better 2021 Junior Rodeo season. Again, with the decline in sponsorship we will not be holding an end of year NCA Presentation. We will continue to be in contact with sponsors, members and associated entities before hopefully having a bigger and better outcome next year.

Kind Regards
NCA Management Committee

NCA Dolly Everett Memorial Juvenile Barrel Race

Our NCA Championship Buckle for the Juvenile Barrel Race will now be called the Dolly Everett Memorial Juvenile Barrel Race

Our Rodeo Events will Raise awareness in communities, children and parents about the serious issue of bullying and its devastating effects.

Amy “Dolly” Everett was the victim of bullying and ended her young life at just 14 years of age. Dolly’s Dream has been established by her family and friends in her memory.
Dolly’s Dream will work to create positive change and help prevent the lives of other children being lost, and act as a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Dolly’s Dream will:
• Raise awareness in communities, children and parents about the serious issue of bullying and its devastating effects
• Work to prevent and address Bullying issues in the community
• Deliver information on ways to mitigate bullying, including cyber bullying, within school communities and to those in need
• Change cultures in the community to prevent bullying, and
• Support victims of bullying
Since the launch of this page, the Everett family has been overwhelmed by the support and kindness shown by friends and strangers, and by early fundraising efforts to establish Dolly’s Dream.
It has become evident that Dolly’s death has had a huge impact on Australians everywhere.
To safeguard the future of Dolly’s Dream and to maximise its impact, Tick and Kate have partnered with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation (ABN 96 514 115 810). The assistance of this partnership will allow Tick and Kate to progress their mission of honouring their daughter’s memory through Dolly’s Dream.
Money raised for Dolly’s Dream will go to programs and services to achieve Dolly’s Dream’s purpose.
To do this, funding expenditure will be governed by an Advisory Board which will include Kate and Tick Everett. This Advisory Board will make recommendations on how to best spend funds and ensure Dolly’s Dream’s programs and services have the greatest impact.
